SUMMERTIME & THE BUYING IS EASY

Angel's All Natureal Beauty is my newborn baby, only a couple months old. In the beginning of a new life a mother and baby must bond. I love parenting, learning to know my baby business and learning to grow my baby business. Right now Angel's All Natureal Beauty Products is a little bundle that needs a lot of nurturing and molding. Angel's All Natureal Beauty Products already has a lot of glowing personality all its own. Every time I look up we're hitting a new milestone (adding a product) and a giving off a new fragrance. After spending a day in Tropical Paradise we're now taking a trip to the forest to pick up some Sandalwood. We love playing in the woods. We're going to explore some
Cedars and some Moss...I feel like a little Amber and some Almond Blossom before we go over the canyons and pick up some Fresh Air and Ocean scents. So I'm a little backwards and I'm going over the mountain and through the woods to the river...I mean, ocean.

Now just like all little babies, Angel's All Natureal Beauty stays hungry and I'm spending quite a bit feeding my baby. Babies sometimes eat too much and end up getting hiccups. Those are times that mommies feel a little bit self-conscious about their little ones, but no matter what we're still happy and proud to show off our babies with all our heart and soul.

So this is yet another birth announcement and opportunity for me to brag about my baby. Of course, I'm always taking pictures and wanting to show them to anyone who'll look. I hope you'll enjoy watching my baby grow.

Lime Margarita in Tropical Paradise

Angel's All Natureal Beauty greets you from the island...  There's no island. It's all in my head. I just came back from a therapy session - aromatherapy - in my 'lab' blending body butter and mixing a new scent that will take you away when you open the jar. My Salt Lickin' Lime Margarita scent is a hit in the body butter, so much that I got a request for a candle. But when I think of a Margarita I always imagine I'm on a beach somewhere, which takes me, in my thoughts, to a private, tropical resort. I wanted to create a scent, (there will be more) that takes you there, too. It's called Tropical Paradise. It will be hard to choose between a drink and a vacation when you're holding theses scents, one in each hand.

My upcoming scents will include...well, in the theme of today's blog I'll just tell you about Island Breeze. The others will include more neutral and more manly scents. Great skin and good scents isn't just for us women. We already have the neutral Powder Me Baby Love and Milky Moon, (don't you hear the owl sounds?) so I'm going to let the Milky Moon guide me into the woodsy, musky scents. OK - I'll share that I'm adding a Sandalwood to my line, but I may try to do an Angel's All Natureal remix.

AMAZING GRACE

     The Divine Creator has done it again and just keeps on blessing me. It may not be in ways that everyone can see, BUT I know it. People sometimes don't surprise me but The Supreme, Omniscient Spirit NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE me by what's done and how it's done. (breath) It's so much I can't tell it all...

     ...but I'll start with reminding you that I decided to go into the business of making natural lip balms and candles to add to another entrepreneur's body product line and it turned into me starting a business of my own. Old story... Well, it's just been about a month and 10 days ago when I began thinking about doing it all by myself. I was getting to use my business mind to the max: a Bi-polar-OCD HIGH LIKE NO OTHER (because this includes God!!!) Planner, coordinator, creator, marketer, designer, buyer, packager, stocker, sales, cashier, shipper, customer service, I.T., book-keeper, employee, supervisor, manager, CEO, CFO, building maintenance...(okay, I'm tired just typing all that.) FFWD

    I've gotten that lip balm thing DOWN. My first complete large batch is selling. People who try it LOVE IT! I've added Shea Butter to the recipe (which makes me feel better about having to raise the price) and when I sell out of my current inventory I'll roll out the NEW IMPROVED ANGEL LIP BUTTER.

     I've been taking my time, trying to do things right. I want to build a solid foundation on which something truly great can be built; dot all my i's, cross all my t's, crawl before walking, one foot in front of the other, walking before running. I stumble here and there but I keep it moving. I thought I was going to be doing Body Butter & Body Oils after the lip balm but it turned out that candles would be ready first. Those containers and supplies were way easier to obtain. I live near a candle factory. I thought I might need a class or to purchase all these supplies and additives, and then I watched a couple YouTube videos...candles are now ready. I'd been working tirelessly so when my sister-friend came to town for Memorial Day we both enjoyed her vacation. She also got to watch me make my first candles & took one home.

     After getting the candles started and being excited about it, my joy bubble was almost burst: someone told me that I shouldn't use soy candles because of the inauthentic manufacturing practices, including using crude oils and gmo's (genetically modified organisms.) I had to consider the information and the source, and with Divine guidance I re-confirmed that the Soy wax I'm using is, in fact, ALL NATURAL, made from vegetables - no crude oils nor gmo's are used in the process of making it. (WHEW) My Creator is better than good and I'm favored. I asked for knowledge, wisdom, revelation, discernment, direction and guidance. I got it. My entrepreneurial journey continues.

     I'm still pinching myself regularly. I have to be sure I'm living this dream. I have another sister who's offered to have a launch party for me at her home and inviting all her and her mom's friends. I'm thinking that parties may be one of the routes I take. In less than a month of having the idea to go into business for myself, I created my first product. Within a month of making my first product I will have created my full (first phase) product line. It's surreal to me, but I know it's really real. I am only able to do this because I am loved, supported, encouraged, blessed, highly favored, and because I HAVE FAITH. I am a child of the Creator and I dream God-sized dreams.

Angel, The Struggle is Real

It all started in April. I'd already been praying and meditating about being my own boss, working flexible hours, having my own stream of income - AND IT NOT BE direct-selling for another company that gets 50-90% of sales that I make. I'm not opposed to that avenue, it just no longer works for me. I did know, however, that whatever I was going to do I would probably have to work for someone first and learn about what I wanted to do before jumping in and doing it. I'm spontaneous and comfortable taking risks (I mean, I work in "Hollyweird" for Christ's sake,) I'm independent, persuasive, creative, and because I'm loved and supported I have a great attitude towards life. (Sound familiar? I've been on the Small Business Administration website a lot.) I could go on and on about my great business mind, my eagerness to serve and cater, my caring heart...blah, blah, blah.

I met a woman on set in Hollywood back in February who is also an entrepreneur. She has a great product, a long time in business, but she was only doing it part time. Knowing I don't want to punch a clock anymore, I thought I could learn more about being in business for myself by helping a acquaintance grow hers. I was so eager, so anxious, I was willing to let her move out of a hotel and stay in my home for a short spell, even willing to invest my bill money to amass supplies so that we could begin to make big profit. Happy that she had someone on her team, the woman told me that she wanted me to be an equal partner. We spent loads of time watching Shark Tank episode after episode, but after being at my house for a week we'd done nothing profitable together. I did a ton of research and planning, learned how to make her product and learned how to make one of my own to add to her business to increase "our" profits. 

Well, call me naive and eager, but I won't be justifiably called stupid. This woman gave pause to our venture, without sharing this with me, because I was too eager and impatient.  She said she'd been burned and was worried about me being so eager. REALLY??? "If it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense!" I'm not running a free hotel, I gave you a space for us to collaborate and make money so that you could get your own. Having smelled the bull stench lingering in my house for a few days, I decided to sell my own creation and create my own business, and in cooperation with my lease I didn't allow her to stay any longer.  I found another recipe for a more luxurious body product, gave it a different spin and thus Angel's All Natureal Beauty came about. 

I thought I would just make some lip balms and candles, body butters and oils and sell them amongst friends, acquaintances, and hit up a fair or flea market here and there. That's not how the Creator works. I was made to be the head and not the tail. I was called and chosen for greater things. My business will not be part-time even if I am starting small time. I'm doing it all: hand making my products, all natural, marketing myself, writing my business plan, building my website, learning about ecommerce, creating my logo, labels, fliers and business cards, all by the grace of the Creator.
